About Us
Mind Professionals Neurodevelopmental Service provides specialist Autism and ADHD assessment services for children, young people, and adults, delivered through NHS-commissioned local pathways and self-pay routes. We work with experienced clinicians to deliver clear, clinically robust assessments that are grounded in recognised diagnostic frameworks and aligned with NICE guidance. Our focus is on quality, integrity, and professional judgement, ensuring that every assessment is accurate, person-centred, and supports individuals and families to understand their needs and access appropriate next steps.
A unique organisational model
Mind Professionals Neurodevelopmental Service sits alongside two other specialist services:
Together, these services form Mind Professionals, enabling us to draw on deep sector knowledge while maintaining clear separation between clinical, recruitment and medico-legal work.
Mind Professionals is part of Provide Community, an employee-owned Community Interest Company.
As a Community Interest Company, we are committed to creating social value. Any surplus we generate is reinvested into the communities that we work within, the development and sustainability of our services, the wellbeing, training and support of our colleagues.
This ensures that our success directly benefits the people and places connected to our work.
Being employee-owned means our team is personally invested in the quality and integrity of the services we deliver. It fosters accountability and pride in our work, collective responsibility for outcomes, decisions driven by professional standards, rather than short-term commercial pressure. This approach underpins everything we do across Mind Professionals.
This model is unusual within expert witness services and reflects our commitment to doing things the right way.

At Mind Professionals Neurodevelopmental Service, we work with experienced clinicians who bring strong clinical judgement, clear communication, and a thoughtful, person-centred approach to neurodevelopmental assessments.
Our clinicians take time to listen carefully, understand each individual’s history and context, and use their specialist knowledge to deliver high-quality Autism and ADHD assessments. Reports are clear, balanced, and clinically robust, with practical recommendations to support understanding and next steps.
All clinicians working with Mind Professionals Neurodevelopmental Service:
- are appropriately qualified and registered with their relevant professional body
- are currently practising and maintain up-to-date clinical expertise
- work in line with NICE guidance and recognised diagnostic frameworks
- provide independent, objective clinical opinions grounded in current best practice
This ensures that our assessments and reports are accurate, consistent, and aligned with both NHS and professional standards.

Our approach
We believe neurodevelopmental assessment services should be:
- focused first and foremost on the needs of individuals and families
- clinician-led, not automated
- thoughtful and person-centred, not transactional
- clear, ethical, and defensible in their clinical reasoning
Our role is to create the conditions for high-quality assessments that place individuals and families at the centre of everything we do, while supporting clinicians with clear pathways, governance, and coordination, and safeguarding professional judgement, independence, and clinical integrity at every stage.
